The NEC SL2100 VoIP Daughter Board provides (16) VoIP channels.
VoIP channels are used for IP phones, IP trunks, and IP networking.
Important!
The SL2100 is equipped with (8) built-in VoIP channels, but when the VoIP Daughter Board is installed, the (8) built-in channels are no longer available.
When It's Needed
- If the system requires more than (16) VoIP channels, the VoIP Daughter Board must be installed
- If you are faxing over SIP trunks, the VoIP Daughter Board must be installed
- If it is anticipated that the system someday will require more than (16) VoIP channels, the VoIP Daughter Board should be installed
- If an InUC Browser Softphone is connected, the system must be equipped with a VoIP Daughter Board
Installation
Installs in dedicated connector on the CPU card.
Provided hardware:
(1) gigabit port, (4) metal standoffs (factory-attached to the daughter board) and (4) mounting screws
