What is the NEC DSX?
The NEC DSX is a business telephone system designed by NEC, a global communications and technology company.
The NEC DSX series includes three models: the DSX-40, DSX-80, and DSX-160. Each model had very similar call features, with the main difference being how large the system could be expanded to accommodate phones and phone lines.
It's ability to expand made this digital phone system an ideal solution for small, medium, or even large-sized businesses.
NEC DSX phone system models
The NEC DSX came in three models, based on the size of your business an how phones and lines you required.
- NEC DSX-40:
The NEC DSX-40 supports up to 8 analog POTS lines and 24 digital phones. - NEC DSX-80:
The NEC DSX-80 supports up to 32 analog POTS lines and 32 digital phones. - NEC DSX-160:
The NEC DSX-160 supports up to 64 analog POTS lines and 96 digital phones.
